David Scott Reilly
Born: February 19, 1962
Scott Reilly began his career in 1989 working as Assistant District Attorney under Bob Thomas, DA. The position he took was one specifically created for the prosecution of sex offense cases. As a prosecutor, Scott was responsible for every type of case that the DA's office handles from juvenile court to traffic court to felonies in Superior Court. While in the DA's office, he personally tried to juries dozens of cases ranging from DWI to Capital Murder.
After leaving the DA's office in 1994, Scott has been in private practice in Catawba County focusing almost exclusively on criminal defense cases. Scott is beginning his 25th year practicing law in this district and serving up to 5 miles out of Hickory, Newton, Maiden, and Conover. He has actually been in the courtroom almost every day for 29 years.
Scott and and his wife Beth have lived in Conover, North Carolina area for almost 40 years. They are members of Corinth Reformed Church. They have four children and two grandchildren.
